Overflow Vision Services provide flexible short-term or ongoing support from certified Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) when your district’s current staffing cannot keep up with demand. Whether your in-house TVI is overwhelmed with evaluations, new referrals, or an unexpected increase in student caseload, Virtual TVI is here to help.
We partner with districts to step in quickly, support your existing staff, and ensure that no student goes without the vision evaluations and services they need.
When Do Schools Use Overflow Vision Support?
Our Overflow Vision Services are designed to meet the needs of schools and districts facing temporary or unexpected increases in workload. Common situations include:
- A surge of new students with visual impairments transferring into the district
- A high volume of evaluation referrals coming in at once
- A TVI returning from leave and needing time to catch up
- A part time TVI with limited hours trying to meet the needs of a growing caseload
